Hôtel Saint-Nicolas is perfectly situated in the mediaeval centre of Riquewihr, where the cobbled car-free streets, brightly coloured houses and peaceful atmosphere gives the impression that time has stopped.
Listed among the most beautiful villages in France, Riquewihr is in the middle of Alsace and makes the perfect starting point for a tour of our beautiful region. It is on the 170-kilometre-long wine route, which offers the opportunity to explore some beautiful countryside and taste the wonderful regional wines. On your journey you will discover other wonderful and typical towns and villages such as Eguisheim, Ribeauvillé, Kaysersberg, Obernai, Mittelbergheim and Hunawihr, and of course Colmar, Strasbourg and Mulhouse.
Hôtel Saint-Nicolas in Riquewihr in Alsace is made up of three beautiful large timber-framed houses dating from the 16th and 17th centuries. It has comfortable, traditional rooms that are perfect for family holidays or between friends, as to stays in couple in Alsace.
In 2018, the hotel in Riquewihr in Alsace in the Haut-Rhin took on its third building, the undeniably picturesque “La Maison Sophie”, named in honour of its previous owner. Its eight rooms perfectly combine the charm of houses of yesteryear with a very cosy contemporary style.

Information
Please remember that all rooms are reached via staircases and the hotel has rooms on three floors. Unfortunately, due to the nature of the building we are currently unable to accommodate wheelchair users.
Free Wifi is available in the whole hotel.
Arrival times: between 3pm and 7pm. If you need to arrive later, please phone to let us know. We might refuse arrivals later than 7pm. For accepted arrivals between 7pm and 10pm a charge of €20 will be made. No arrivals after 10pm.
Departure times: between 8am and 11am. Departure can be delayed up until 1pm by arrangement with reception and with a charge of €15.
Cancellation policy for flexible offers
If you need to change or cancel your stay, the following conditions apply:
- From 1st January to 21st November 2024: For all changes or cancellations with less than 48 hours notice from the original arrival date, the cost of the first night will be charged.
- From 22nd November to 31st December 2024: For all changes or cancellations with less than two weeks’ notice from the original arrival date, the cost of the whole stay will be charged.
- In case of non-arrival on the date booked, the cost of the whole stay will automatically be charged to your card by Hôtel Saint-Nicolas
- All stays once commenced must be paid in full.
