Le Manala, Alsatian restaurant in Riquewihr

Generous cooking for a restaurant in the heart of Alsace in Riquewihr

Le Manala is located in the centre of Riquewihr and welcomes all food-lovers (whether or not you are staying at the hotel). Reservations are strongly recommended.

Why Manala?

In our Alsatian dialect, a Manala is a little boy. It is also the name of a brioche shaped like a man that good children are given on St Nicholas’ day, the 6th of December.

Our Chef, Didier, cooks hearty, traditional dishes from the Alsace region. Simple and delicious food made from seasonal ingredients and Didier’s inspired cooking.

Don’t forget to try “choucroute verte ou Riquewihrienne”. This version of sauerkraut was created in 1996 by several chefs in the town and is Riquewihr’s very own local speciality. It owes its colour and unique flavour to the herbs used. Cabbage is cooked in a cream sauce made with ten fresh herbs. It is served with smoked duck and goose sausages and a white sausage with pistachios. As its name suggests, this dish is only cooked in Riquewihr.
